Community Health Systems Cardio Non Invas Tech (EKG)- PRN in San Angelo, Texas


The Cardio technician assumes responsibility and accountability for performing electrocardiograms on customers ranging in age from infant to adult in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The Cardio technician is responsible for processing EKGs performed by the Cardiovascular Laboratory and other departments in the hospital. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.

In addition to performing EKG s, the technician will be responsible for transporting patients from their rooms to the cardio department for testing and then returning them to their rooms after completion of exam when necessary.

In times of need, this Technician can accurately perform EEG testing following the acceptable guidelines. Technician is able to precisely explain procedure to patients and the involvement needed to correctly complete the testing.

As an Cardio technician, performing Stress Test is also a requirement. Technician can explain stress procedures and treadmill safety. Accurate information will be recorded and will be processed.

The Cardiopulmonary Administrative Assistant is responsible for the functions of performing clerical and receptionist duties in the Cardiopulmonary department. The Administrative Assistant works closely with all members of the health care team. Responsibilities include payroll functions, accuracy of charges and billing, maintenance of policy and procedure manuals, gathering QA and PI data, and assisting the manager with tasks as needed.



• Current BCLS for Healthcare Providers is required.

• Basic EKG course obtained within first 6 months of employment.
